Located in the village of Pentraeth, Nr Menai Bridge, Ynys Môn (Anglesey) set in the wall of Eglwys y Santes Fair (St Mary’s Church) on the A5025. A Celtic cross design with four names on the front panel and two names on each of the two side panels. One of those commemorated is buried in the church, having a headstone made of slate to the standard CWGC style.

Husband of Jane Evans, of Talgwyn Farm, Pentraith, Menai Bridge, Anglesey. Buried in BRANDHOEK NEW MILITARY CEMETERY No. 3, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot III. Row B. Grave 12.

Frederick aka Fred
Private 35300, 2nd Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Killed in action 21st November 1917. Aged 18. Born Pentraeth, enlisted Deganwy, Llandudno. (Boot) Transport Worker (Brynddu). Grandson of Mrs. Jane Jones, of Boot House, Pentraeth, Menai Bridge, Anglesey. Related to David John Parry (below). No known grave. Commemorated on CAMBRAI MEMORIAL, LOUVERVAL, Nord, France. Panel 5.

Llewellyn [Roberts]
Private 203606, 9th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Killed in action 23rd October 1917. Aged 32. Born and resident Redwharf Bay, Angelsey, enlisted Menai Bridge. (Pen y Bont). Son of Hugh and Jane Jones; husband of Annie Ellen Jones, of Pen y Bont, Red Wharf Bay, Pentraeth, Menai Bridge, Anglesey. Commemorated on Fusilier Wood Memorial, DUHALLOW A.D.S. CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

Note: Special memorials commemorate a number of casualties known to have been buried in two of these cemeteries, Malakoff Farm Cemetery, Brielen, and Fusilier Wood Cemetery, Hollebeke, whose graves were destroyed by shellfire.

(Llwyn Ysgaw) Son of Hugh and Catherine Jones, of Llwynysgo, Pentraeth, Anglesey. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 65 to 66.

Transport Worker (Brynddu). Son of Thomas and Jane Jones, of Pentraeth. Buried on the east boundary of the old ground in ST. MARY CHURCHYARD, PENTRAETH, Angelsey.
