EVERTON WAR MEMORIAL

The memorial can be found to the rear of the church in the churchyard of St Mary's Church, Everton. The memorial takes the form of a Celtic cross, with carved decoration in relief, the whole standing upon a square plinth, where the inscription is in black lettering with the whole mounted on a one step base. Close by is a row of graves to aircrew who died.

Private 19047, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action Tuesday 20th April 1915 in France & Flanders. Age 32. Born and resident Everton, enlisted Bedford.
