BARMING WAR MEMORIAL

Situated 2.5 miles from the centre of Maidstone on the A26 Tonbridge Road at its junction with North and South Street, Barming standing on the central island. It takes the form of a stone cross mounted on an octagonal plinth with a two stepped base. It stands above the island and a section of the island itself has been cut away and steps inserted to allow access. There are a further two memorials within St Margaret's Church, Barming, one for World War 1 and the other for World War 2. The names on the memorials match.
