and takes the form of a granite obelisk mounted on a tapered, plinth
on a three stepped base.

Manchester Regiment. Son of Ivett Holmes (a Shepherd) and Amy Scott
of the Dedn, Welby Warren. In the 1901 census he is resident with
his family at elby Warren Cottages, Welby. In the 1911 census he
was no longer at home with his parents. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
