Private 18556, 11th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died 24 October 1917. Age 25. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Bloomfield of Waldringfield. Buried at Dozinghem Military Cemetery

Gunner 85951, 155th Siege Artillery Brigade, Royal Garrison Artillery. Died 19 April 1917. Age 24. Son of Robert and Ellen Button of White Hall Lodge, Waldringfield. Buried at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery

Charles Samuel
Private PS/11387, 17th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). Killed in action 13 November 1916. Born and resident Waldringfield, enlisted Woodbridge. Born Oct-Dec 1980 to Henry Prentice and Emma Maddison, 1881, 1891 and 1901 living in Waldringfield with his parents, 1911 living in Waldringfield with his wife Edith 'Maud' Moules who he married Oct-Dec 1909. His brother Robert also fell - see Newbourn War Memorial. Buried in NORFOLK CEMETERY, BECORDEL-BECOURT, Somme, France. Plot II. Row B. Grave 68.

[Listed as FELGATE on Roll of Honour] Private 5832983, 5th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died of malaria in Wampo Prison Camp, Thailand, as a Japanese prisoner of War 7 August 1943; captured 15 February 1942 in Singapore. Aged 30. Born 14 June 1913 in Ipswich, Suffolk. Son of Frederick Arthur and Edith Beatrice Fellgett, husband of Edith Jeanette (nee Codling) Fellgett of Waldringfield, married October to December Quarter 1939 in Deben Registration District, Suffolk. In the 1921 census he was resident Woodbridge, Suffolk. In the 1939 Register he was a Milk Roundsman resident with his parents at Ralph Cottages, Martlesham Heath, Martlesham, Deben R.D., Suffolk. Buried at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand. Plot 8. Row K. Grave 10.

Thomas Henry Whalley
Lieutenant, 14th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment. Killed in action at Arras 22 October 1917. Aged 21. Son of Dr. Alfred Whalley Waller and Violet Sarah Waller, of Stroud. In the 1901 census he was living at the Rectory, Waldringfield, Suffolk with his Grandparents. Commemorated on Tyne Cot Memorial.
