The War Memorial is situated in the Abbey Church of Saint Mary and Saint Aldhelm, Malmesby Abbey, Gloucester Street, Malmesbury, North Wiltshire. It takes the form of a gabled, wooden, shrine with central cross flanked by brass name panels; there is elaborate carving underneath the memorial that seems to commemorate C D S MacKirdy and L C R E Fawcett, and as well as their names it contains their family crests, motto and regimental badges (11th Hussars and Lanarkshire Yeomanry). There are 69 names listedd for orld War 1 only.
