BOURNEMOUTH ST. STEPHEN - Roll of Honour

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © 2003 Martin Edwards

The church of St Stephen stands in St. Stephen's Way. The memorial stands in the grounds below the church and is described as the Calvary Altar. It has a dedication but no names. The names of the men and women who fell during the Two World Wars from St Stephen are read out at the memorial service each year. Within the church it self are two items from the First World War. The first is a crucifix brought back with the returing soldiers and the second is a portable altar set fashioned from materials found in the trenches which remains in prestine condition today.
