There is a memorial on the wall of St. Nicholas Church which covers those who fell in World War 1 and 2 plus one from Cyprus. Inside the church is a further marble plaque covering those who died in World War 1.

Private 240866, 2nd/1st Bucks Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry formerly 6828, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action in Belgium 21 August 1917. Born Tillingham, Essex, resident Dengie Endway, Essex, enlisted Birmingham. In the 1881 census he was newborn, born Tillingham, Essex, son of William and Mary J Bateman, brother of Thomas Bateman, resident Bradwell Road, Tillingham, Maldon, Essex. In the 1911 census he was aged 30, unmarried, born Tillingham, Essex, a Labourer, lodging at Alcester Street, Birmingham, Aston, Warwickshire. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 96 to 98.

Private, 'D' Company, 1st Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment. Died if a forest fire 17th June 1956 during the 'Lucky Alphonse' operations when a forest fire swept across their position near Vroisha in the Troodos. Aged 20. Buried in Wayne's Keep Military Cemetery, Nicosia.
