There is further panelling surrounding the altar with an associated bronze, nowy headed, plaque bearing the inscription:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF THEIR BROTHERS, MICHAEL AND MAURICE HODGSON. KILLED IN ACTION MARCH 1915. THIS PANELLING IS DEDICATED BY J.K.H. P.K.H. D.K.H. C.E.N. NOV 1916
There is also a stone tablet with the badges of the Royal Fusiliers and Sherwood Foresters and a shield at the base in blue and gold with three birds.

THIS TABLET IS DEDICTAED BY THEIR PARENTS, ROBERT KIRKMAN-HODGSON AND NORAH HODGSON OF GAVLACRE THEIR LIVES THEY LAID DOWN FOR KING AND COUNTRY AND THEIR SOULS THEY RENDERED UP TO GOD. THE LORD GAVE AND THE LORD HATH TAKEN AWAY. BLESSED IS THE NAME OF THE LORD
