There is a single memorial within the church of St Thomas A Beckett which takes the form of a shield shaped, black painted, metal plaque with an inscription in relief. There are two names for World War 1 only.

John Henry

Of Westby. Private 16279. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action in France 2nd December 1917, aged 36 years (38yrs on memorial). Son of (the late) John and Sarah Gray Of Westby, Lincs. Born and enlisted Grantham, Lincs. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL. Panel 35 to 37 and 162 to 162A.

PORTMAN

Charles Edward Niklaus

Of Westby. Private 53322. 2nd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action on the Somme 3rd April 1918 (28th March on memorial), aged 19 years. Son of Emil Portman of Rue Rousseau 17, Geneva, Switzerland. Born Westby and enlisted Grantham, Lincs. Commemorated POZIERES MEMORIAL. Panel 26 and 27.

Faithful unto death.
