The Thorpe St Peter war memorial can be found in the grounds of St Pere's Church, Wainfleet Road, Thorpe St Peter. It takes the form of Portland stone Celctic cross on a small gabled plinth with stone name panels on a concrete base. There are 9 names for World War 1 and one for World War 2. It was unveiled on 15th August 1920. Details appeared in the Skegness News, 1923, the Boston Standard January 1920 to May 1921 and the Boston Guardian January to Decmeber 1921.

HEWISON	George	Petty Officer Stoker 312165. HMS Laforey, Royal Navy. Died 23rd March 1917, aged 27 years. Son of Henry and Elizabeth Hewison of Thorpe, Lincs. Commemorated CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL. 23.
HEWISON	William	Private 12774. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 8th June 1917. Born Stickney, enlisted Skegness and resident Thorpe, Lincs. Commemorated YPRES (Menin Gate) MEMORIAL. Panel 21.
HOUGHTON	Sidney Thomas	Private 206160. 1st Battalion, Devonshire Regiment, formerly 201752 Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 7th November 1918, aged 23 years. Son of Mr and Mrs Houghton of Thorpe Fen Dyke, Lincs. Enlisted Lincoln and resident Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated PONT-SUR-SAMBRE COMMUNAL CEMETERY. B.13.
JOHNSON	William Henry	Private 241543. 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 23rd October 1918. Born Thorpe St Peter and enlisted Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated VENDEGIES-AU-BOIS BRITISH CEMETERY. A.36.
LEPLA	George	No George Lepla identified. Possibly should read Jeffrey Lepla. Private 13726. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 25th September 1915, aged 19 years. Son of George and Mary Alice Lepla of Wainfleet Marsh, Lincs. Born Ramsey St Mary, Essex, enlisted Lincoln and resident Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL. Panel 3.
MOODY	Joseph	Private 15265. 10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 15th April 1918, aged 23 years. Son of Mr G and Mrs E Moody of Thorpe St Peter, Lincs. Enlisted Lincoln and resident Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL. Panel 3.
PELL	Edward	Private 242056. 5th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Killed in action 24th September 1918. Born and enlisted Louth, resident Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL. Panel 5.
WOODS	George Abraham	Private 1763. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds 26th October 1916. Born Wainfleet, enlisted Boston and resident Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated GROVE TOWN CEMETERY, Meaulte. I.P.46.

And this man fell in the Second Great War 1939 – 1945.
TEMPLEMAN	Arthur Henry	Signalman 10600919. Royal Corps of Signals. Died 11th April 1944, aged 21 years. Son of Joseph and Mary Jane Templeman of Wainfleet, Lincs. Commemorated TAUKKYAN WAR CEMETERY. 14.C.20.
