The memorial is set in the front of the Churchyard of St Andrew’s Church, Great Dunham, adjacent to the village school. It takes the form of a Celctic cross mounted on a plinth with a two-stepped base, the inscription being on the front of the plinth.

Private 29333. 1st/8th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Killed in action 27/08/1917. Aged 19. Born Buswell Green, enlisted King's Lynn, resident Great Dunham. Son of John William and Alice Maud Cornwell of North St, Great Dunham, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Formerly 45358, Suffolk Regiment. No known grave. Commmeorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL. Panel 23 to 28 and 163A.
