There
is a war memorial and a roll of honour within St Mary's Church, Blundeston
Road, Somerleyton, Waveney, Suffolk. The memorial takes the form of
white marble on black marble with a circular motif at the top below
which are crossed swords and at the bottom a white marble shield shaped
memorial bearing the inscriptions. There are 17 names listed for World
War 1. The roll of honour is in a wooden case, with glass front, and
is handwritten and with illuminated text. There are 122 names listed,
120 served and returned and 20 who gave their lives.
