Son of William and Ellen Forster, of Mains of Larg, Newluce, Wigtownshire, Scotland. Engineer by trade. Educated at Stranraer High School. Emigrated aged 22. Son of William and Ellen Forster, of Mains of Larg, New Luce, Wigtownshire, Scotland. Medical Student by trade. Educated at New Luce & Ewart High School, Newtonstewart then Edinburgh University. Emigradted aged 21. Was in the OTC at Edinburgh University. His brother was killed in Turkey (see above). No known grave. Commemorated on VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Enlisted and passed fit 19 May 1915 at Portage la Prairie, aged 23. Height 5 feet 7½ inches, girth 37½ inches, complexion fair, eyes blue, ahir brown; religion Presbyterian.
