The Stoke Prior War Memorial stands in the grounds of the parish church of St Michael, Stoke Prior and takes the form of a stone wheel cross, with Celtic designs carved on the face and shaft, mounted on a tapering plinth with a three stepped base. There are 35 names for World War 1, none for any other conflict. The memorial was designed by The Bromsgrove Guild.

Signal Boy J/23322, H.M.S. Good Hope, Royal Navy. Lost when his shiip was sunk in action off Coronel, on the coast of Chile, 1 November 1914. Aged 18. Born 18 April 1897 in Bromsgrive. Son of George and Laura Adams, of Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, Worcs. Prior to enlistment he was an office boy. Enlisted 18 April 1915 for 12 years. Height 5 feet 6¾, chest 34 inches, brown hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire. Panel 3.

Private 35596, "D" Company, 5th Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire Regiment). Killed in action 22 August 1918. Aged 24. Enlisted Birmingham, resident Stoke Works. Son of James and Jane Barrett, of Stoke Works, Bromsgrove, Worcs; husband of Doris Gordon (formerly Barrett), of 55, Kendal Rd., Sparkbrook, Birmingham. Buried in MEAULTE MILITARY CEMETERY, Somme, France. Plot/Row/Section F. Grave 5.

Private 4568, "C" Company, 2nd Regiment, South African Infantry. Killed in action on 19th July 1916. Aged 22. Son of Richard and Edith Bell of Moorgate House, Stoke Prior near Bromsgrove. His father the late Mr. R. H. Bell, is listed as being of Duffs Rd., North Coast, Durban, Natal (a former station master at Bromsgrove). No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 4 C.
