The Stoke
Prior War Memorial stands in the grounds of the parish church of St
Michael, Stoke Prior and takes the form of a stone wheel cross, with
Celtic designs carved on the face and shaft, mounted on a tapering
plinth with a three stepped base. There are 35 names for World War
1, none for any other conflict. The memorial was designed by The Bromsgrove
Guild.

he was an office boy. Enlisted 18 April 1915 for 12 years. Height
5 feet 6¾, chest 34 inches, brown hair, brown eyes, fresh
