The memorial is to be found at the roadside in Brotton. It takes the form of a Celtic cross, with a small metal wreath on front face, on a square plinth with a two stepped base, surrounded by painted railings, the whole being on a raised platform that is reached by four steps. There are 60 names for World War 1 and 21 names for World War 2.
